Last week we attended London’s annual Unbound conference that aims to facilitate connections between global innovators and brands

A recurring theme at Unbound was brands using connected tech to continuously learn from their customers and anticipate what they need at the right moment. New tech-enabled tools include L’Oreal’s ‘Audio Makeup’ that provides a platform for make-up tips for the visually impaired, or The North Face’s chatbot collaboration with IBM’s Watson to assist customers in finding exactly the right product for them for whatever activity and weather they describe to the chatbot.

Household takeout: The future of service lies in pre-emptively responding to anticipated customer needs and will be facilitated by connected technology.
