Household's five latest global concessions for Christian Louboutin have launched.
Household’s latest concessions for Christian Louboutin have launched in five cities across the world. Read on to find out more the concept behind each location.
Selfridges, London
The Selfridges design draws upon the ‘Birds of Paradise’ concept we created for Louboutin. Taking Christian’s theatrical playfulness and fascination of cabaret, the design of the new space embraces the idea of each shoe becoming an exotic bird itself, poised, ready to take flight.
KaDeWe Alsterhaus, Hamburg
The ‘In the Spotlight’ concept is inspired by dancing feet and the journey that a Louboutin shoe could take, looking at the balance between bursts of energy and rhythm, contrasting it with the sensual poise and grace inherent in a Louboutin shoe. The design features dramatic walls of spotlights, focusing on the hero product of the season.
King of Prussia, Philadelphia
The ‘City of Contrasts’ concept draws inspiration from Christian’s passion for landscape gardening, and his continual love-affair with nature. This has influenced the intricate metalwork feature walls showcasing shoes on a textural backdrop of feathers delicately crafted from plaster and hand-painted by artists Atelier de la Torre.
Bondi Junction, Sydney
The first store designed in the brand-new concept created for Louboutin known as ‘Maison de Vacances’. Taking architectural cues from Christian’s holiday home locations and inspiration from his collected antiquities to create an irregular, playful space that is full of bespoke materials such as the blue sea tiles.
Holt Renfrew, Toronto
The new shop-in-shop revolves around the ‘Natural Order’. Symmetry and intricacy are translated into organic structures which inspired the delicate yet bold feature shoe wall and brought movement and flow to the partition screens.
