Geoff argued that tech is not a stand alone solution. While it can smooth certain aspects of the customer journey, having dedicated staff to assist customers remains a valuable part of the physical retail experience. Using tech alongside human staff has the potential to fundamentally revive and reinvent the roles of the shop floor assistant and manager.
