Kier

Telling stories for a brand rich in heritage and humanity

FTSE 250 company Kier needed to engage employees and the public in brand communications for its new London HQ. Household was hired to help the property and services brand discover its voice and express the culture and ideas that move the brand beyond the expected corporate sloganeering common in its category.

We found inspiration in the size and scope of Kier’s work, its strong UK geographical presence, and its pride, passion and practical innovation.
From introducing modernist architecture and expertise in concrete to London Zoo’s Penguins, to keeping the Olympic spirit burning behind the scenes at London 2012, Kier’s stories give it a human face and dimension.

We identified stories from Kier’s past, present and future that demonstrate its breadth and create a “wow, I didn’t know that” moment, defined a tonality that reflects its character and designed a bold visual style to energise the space and the brand.

We hand drew bold typographic illustrations for each narrative we crafted, designed to reveal something new each time you walk past.
