A cinematic feast for the senses. Household has collaborated with Netflix to create the first-for culinary residency at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Transforming Netflix’s most beloved shows and IP into a multi-sensory dining experience, as a blend of immersive storytelling with entertaining design and edible delights conjuring up new worlds from the shows.
Audiences don’t just want to watch their favourite shows, they want to step inside them. In an era where experiences are prized and forge a deeper emotional connection, fans are craving more from the content they consume.
Netflix is expanding its world of IP experience through channels and venues such as Stranger Things, The First Shadow stage play and Netflix House. Netflix Bites presents an original adventure into IP experience dining – linking more love and discovery into the IP cannon and franchises, bringing fans closer to the brands they love in unexpected ways.
A Feast for Fans
The Big Idea
Household led the concept design, art direction and execution of the Las Vegas experience bringing alive Netflix’s bold visual identity with a theatrical narrative-rich dining journey. The big idea of ‘From Screen to Table’ brings the excitement of Netflix entertainment together with IP inspired chef designed menus and food trends as well as social currency. This amplifies Netflix as a cultural curator beyond its streaming platform.
Signature experiences for this IP experience include the giant red lips threshold creating an unforgettable ‘first moment’ with IG impact. The mirrored tunnel draws fans into the experience, living the ‘Tudum’ of Netflix, and iconic dreamlike murals celebrate the intersection of food and fandom.
The ’Now Pouring Bar’ with its luminous neon signage transforms the bar area into a dynamic hub for entertainment. Designed to shift from day to night, the bar doubles as a content showcase, highlighting everything from Netflix Bites dishes to new series releases and live sports.
The menu covers over 40 different shows and movies from Squid Games, Orange Is The New Black, Beverley Hills Cop, Bridgerton, and Knives Out to culinary creations inspired by Chef’s Table and Dinner Time Live with David Chang.
The Results
Fans are eating it up and sharing their fandom – creating viral levels of engagement with over 10 million TikTok views. Rolling Stones, Forbes, Hollywood Reporter and Variety Magazine have all covered the extraordinary culinary experience with big appetite.
