Michelle joined Bloomberg to discuss Drinki, the app that gives users free cocktails in exchange for data. Drinki gives companies a means of reaching more potential customers while also cultivating a more valuable relationship with them, with a ‘free drink’ as an emotive hook and call to action. As Michelle explains, offering people “a destination to start the night out gives Drinki an emotional and very powerful role in the customer’s social life.” The upshot is that the quality of a customer or guest relationship becomes contingent on the quality of their experience as opposed to the quality of a comms campaign.
